Keeping in Touch

Hi everyone, hope you are all OK and  managing this new lockdown.

I have had contact from Mererid regarding the regional subscriptions of £3.  Region are obviously hoping to run the Regional Day in June next year but they need everyone to send their subscriptions to them.  You can send a cheque to Mererid or do a bank transfer, if you need details of Mererids address or the bank details, please contact Mererid, Loreen or Anita.  Sending your subscription in will guarantee your copy of the Yearbook.

April catch up

Hope you are all keeping safe and well.  I have been very busy at home, getting all sorts of work done round the house as well as sewing and family history, which is just about taking over my life.

If you are looking for some stitching to do and aren't a member of my group, have a look at the Textile Experimental Group blog where I have been posting some ideas to fill your time.  Also, look at some of the other branch sites such as Skipton where they were doing some interesting work before the lock down.  If you want more structured work, Dionne Swift and Anne Brookes are doing some online workshops you can join in.  Feel free to comment at the bottom of the blog page and if you have my email address you can send me photographs of your work to post here for other members to look at.

January Meeting

Today was a members day so not so many of us present.  Everyone was working hard despite the coolness of the room as the village hall are having problems with the boiler!
I missed the December party as I had a nasty bug and was confined to barracks but everyone who attended enjoyed it.
I also missed the November meeting as I was on holiday in India.  What a spectacular place of stitch inspiration!  I had a wonderful time and can recommend it to anyone interested in going.  Because I was away, I missed the workshop with Helen Barnes making Bronte Needle Rolls.  There were several of these being finished off today so here are a few of them.

These are the needle rolls

Helen was doing this interesting piece, stitching into strips of painted fabric.

Diane's lovely piece of print and stitch.
